The curators Martina Huber and Gianni Jetzer will give some insights into their exhibition Experimental Ecology
The Kunstmuseum St. Gallen is showing an interactive exhibition that presents new ideas on the subject of ecology. Five teams, each consisting of two people from the fields of art and science, are tackling current ecological issues from different angles.
Unexpected projects were created through teamwork: cheese made from human skin bacteria; a game to communicate with fish; a walk as a dialogue about the forest as a complex system; a staging of plankton as the oldest oxygen supplier in the world; and a theatre about the settlement of farmed salmon in the southern hemisphere.
The five projects open up new perspectives and a differentiated understanding of the complex interrelationships within ecology.
