AIA stands for Awareness In Art. We believe that art can create a space to negotiate questions that humankind faces today.

By creating narratives that are multifaceted, artists offer a holistic view on relevant matters. Through their eyes, we experience the world beyond a purely one-dimensional perspective.
AIA aims to produce awareness. In psychology awareness is the state of being conscious or the quality of being perceptually knowledgable. It is also the ability to perceive, feel, know, or be cognizant of events. We understand art as a vehicle that bridges perception, feelings, knowledge, and cognition to follow the ambitious target to develop strategies for our all future.

We create a space for regenerative communities to grow and to co-create at the intersection of art, science, and technology.

Visions for a Life in a New Geological Epoch?

WHAT WE DO

CURATING TRANSFORMATIVE SPACES

AIA, as a platform, addresses the complex and interconnected ecological, social, and political challenges of our times by curating spaces that invite us to interrogate and engage with our past and futures in new ways toward societal reframing.

INSPIRING NEW PATHWAYS OF KNOWLEDGE

AIA challenges meanings, connections, and systems through art and innovational practices. By activating imagination, hosting experiences, and fostering dialogue, we initiate processes and practices that inspire and collectively create new pathways of knowledge. This approach allows us to address problems from multiple perspectives.

CONSTRUCTING COLLABORATION AND UNDERSTANDING

AIA practices change and transformation through carefully chosen interdisciplinary exhibitions and educational programs. In collaboration and exchange with curators and partners who are experts in their fields, we organize community based interventions as well as invite local initiatives to participate.
